The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Hospitality and Leisure Committee at the Chamber, Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Boali, said that about 319 institutions have benefited from the initiative, which was launched with the aim of vaccinating about 20,000 workers from the hospitality, leisure and accommodation activities in the region, thus providing a great deal of health safety for visitors to the region, which supports Revitalizing the tourism sector in it, and that the (6) centers designated to provide the vaccine within the framework of the initiative are still continuing in order to achieve its goals, noting that the Hospitality and Entertainment Committee in the Asharqia Chamber is the only committee at the level of the Kingdom that has adopted an agreement of this kind with the Ministry of Health to overcome the challenges facing it. sector and to support the ministry's presence in the comprehensive vaccination campaign.
Al-Boali pointed out that what the initiative offers and the goals it contains will enable the return of the tourism movement in the region to its normal state, especially after all the employees of the activity are vaccinated and the conditions for vaccination for visitors are applied by next August, pointing out that the eastern region is a destination for many domestic tourists. And abroad, and that achieving health safety within the places of residence and reception of visitors stimulates the revitalization of the tourism movement in general.
Al-Boali stressed that the coming period will witness a boom in the tourism sector in the region and that there is a state of readiness and preparedness for all providers of hospitality, entertainment, and accommodation services to receive visitors with new and innovative services, noting that the eastern region has many attractive places for tourism and is almost complete with tourism, including It has all the tourist components, whether it is beautiful beaches, recreational parks, popular markets, and commercial complexes, as it serves as an integrated tourism structure, stressing that this period represents the opportunity for citizens and residents to rediscover the tourist areas in the Eastern Province.
